A child or adolescent autism assessment should include an estimate of the child's cognitive and adaptive functioning, an in-person assessment with the client, an interview with the parents for their child's history, and a screening of other challenges. I currently offer three options for an autism assessment.
1) Autism only assessment (age 6 or up)
This option is appropriate if your child has completed a psychoeducational assessment recently. This option allows me to complete the autism specific testing, and use the cognitive assessment results from the psychoeducational assessment. The cost of this assessment is $2695
2) Autism plus cognitive assessment (age 6 or up)
This option is required if your child has never received any cognitive testing before. It allows me to incorporate your child's cognitive abilities into my results and provide a fuller understanding of their profile. The cost of this assessment is $3185
3) Autism plus cognitive assessment (under age 6)
This option is for those who are under the age of 6. In order to qualify for funding in BC a cognitive assessment must be included. The psychological assessment must be completed in conjunction with assessments from other professionals. The cost of this assessment is $2450.
I am also able to add an ADHD or psychoeducational assessment to either option above for an extra cost. Please click here for more information about autism assessments.
A standalone ADHD assessment requires a parent interview, an in-person assessment session with the child, and a screening of other aspects of the child's functioning such as mental health and executive functioning. An ADHD assessment on it's own costs $1470.
Psychoeducational assessments are used to diagnose and identify learning differences such a learning disabilities, intellectual disability, and giftedness. I offer these assessments to children age 6 to 19. A psychoeducational assessment usually costs between $3675 and $4165.
I am also able to add an ADHD or autism assessment for an extra cost. Please click here for more information about psychoeducational assessments.
Adult assessments are structured very similarly to child assessments. The additional piece that is key to an adult assessment is the inclusion of significant others in the process. Clients are asked to invite a parent, friend, sibling, and/or a significant other to join the interview to provide collateral information. Both adult assessment types also include a screening assessment for mental health and executive functioning. Because of the longer assessment process, the prices are as follows:
1) Adult autism assessments cost $3430.
2)Adult ADHD assessments cost between $1470 to $2205.

Currently, I provide therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults. I work with children with a variety of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, obsessive compulsive disorder, and other life stressors. Many of my clients have multiple intersectional identities and may identify as neurodivergent, queer, or as people of colour. I also believe in the importance of family when providing therapy and often meet with parents and other caregivers to provide information and education around their child's needs. I would describe my lense as trauma-informed, inclusive, and neurodiversity-affirming.
I also provide support to parents who wish to learn more about their child's challenges, understand more about neurodiversity and mental health, and to develop skills in parenting children who require special support beyond the basic parenting principles.
