I use the recommended hourly rate provided by the BC Psychological Association. This is currently $235 per hour of work. I then use how many hours it requires to complete an assessment to determine my fees per assessment.
I can take credit card, cash, cheque, and e-transfer.
For each assessment, I bill the client after each session. I also bill for half of the report at the feedback session. The remainder of the outstanding balance is billed and processed when I complete the report. All fees must be paid before I release the first draft of a report.
Some extended health plans cover services from a psychologist. All receipts will state the client's name, the service rendered, the length of session, and the cost. It is each client's (or parent's) responsibility to check with their insurance provider to determine whether their services are covered.
As a practitioner, I strive to achieve the same work-life balance that I teach my clients. I want to make sure I follow my own advice and manage my own health so that I am always in a good place to support my clients. For health reasons, I do not work full-time.
At this time, I do not offer therapy services. I do, however, hope to offer these services in the future.
